Jesus asked a little boy for five loaves and two fish and fed more than 5000 people with it. It was truly a miracle of multiplication. Some years ago, I pondered, thought and asked God what we could give Him so that our work could multiply.
I realized that Jesus invested deeply in 12 of His disciples. He multiplied Himself in His disciples. Our plan and strategy became to intentionally raise up local Facilitators who would pass on the Pioneer Business Planting training to other people in their areas. They would share the Graphic book to their friends and family, their communities. They would train others in schools, churches, homes. So that the impact would multiply. Right now we have raised up around 150 facilitators. Some are more active than others.
In early January, 25 local leaders gathered in Monkey Bay, Malawi, for a four-day Pioneer Business Planting (PBP) Facilitators Training. The training emphasized practical skills and personal development. Participants learned how to teach effectively, focusing on body language, communication, and engagement techniques. They also gained insights into coaching others and setting up FaithFunds and Savings Groups, equipping them to foster sustainable businesses in their communities.

Building Unity and Leadership
The program began with the Servant Leadership Game, a team-building exercise that highlighted working together and serving each other. This set the tone for the training, which included hands-on sessions on business evaluation, SWOT analysis, and sales projections.
The Ripple Effect: Facilitators Making an Impact
The training’s impact was immediate. Several participants have made plans to train others, particularly in Blantyre, creating a ripple effect of knowledge and empowerment. Two attendees volunteered to translate the facilitator manual into their local language, ensuring accessibility for more communities. A WhatsApp group was also formed to maintain connections, share progress, and provide ongoing support.
The facilitators not only gained technical skills but also grew in confidence and leadership. Many expressed a renewed sense of purpose, ready to multiply what they’ve learned and inspire others.

Stories of Transformation
One standout story is Grace Amos, who used a FaithFund loan to start a small business selling household goods. Through her hard work and the principles learned in PBP training, Grace repaid her loan, expanded her business, and launched a second venture. Her success exemplifies the potential of this initiative to create lasting change.
Looking Ahead
The training concluded with a graduation ceremony on January 10, marking the beginning of a new chapter for these 25 facilitators. Their journey reflects the heart of the 1000/1000 vision: empowering local leaders to create sustainable change.
These 25 facilitators will go out in teams of 3, which makes 8 teams. If these teams all train 50 people this year, we would have trained 400 people in planting and starting Kingdom businesses.
